IT'S ALL OVER, BAR THE ACTION.

Massachusetts has a new Governor; the country has a new Congress and Senate. What will follow?

Far be it from me to speak as a prophet, but some things are fairly obvious. There will a lot of chat about team-work and bi-partisanship, but, haven't we all heard this before---it's what actually happens, not what the chattering classes talk about on TV or newspaper interviews.

Look at the past few events in Mass as an example.

WE THE PEOPLE...they voted by a majority to reduce the local tax to 5%- it hasn't happened! Deval Patrick predicts some future date for this; when, wait and see, it could be years ahead because he has made many promises concerning what he will do and hasn't directly told everyone where the money is coming from.

WE THE PEOPLE...wanted the 'same-sex-marriage' issue on a state-wide ballot for 2008; by a clever ruse the legislature voted to recess before voting on the issue. Now suspended until January 2nd 2007, the last day of the session, and as many now feel they have effectively killed the proposal. So much for the idea of a majority speaking and being ignored. The current Governor of Massachusetts said that this move was denying the public a chance to vote on an amendment that had 170,000 signatures to get it on the ballot...so much for “we the people”.

WE THE PEOPLE...What happened to no taxation without representation? What are the representatives doing with their office? Are they truly representing "The People"?

Let's not forget that America isn't a democracy---it is a Constitutional Republic. This begs another question, why is the Government trying to bring democracy into many places of the world when America as a nation isn't a democracy itself?

SO MANY QUESTIONS AND SEEMING FALSEHOODS TO BE RESOLVED.

This is why a true Christian would not get involved in the governments or fights and battles of this world. Christ said that His Kingdom is not of this world; if it were of this world then true Christians would fight for it.

The Kingdom that Christ spoke about is yet to come. When it does it will clear up all this confusion that we all currently live with. The word of God will be the "constitution" of this new kingdom and not a man-made one that by a vote of one person can establish something contradictory to the desire and what is best for the majority.

If you are a TRUE CHRISTIAN then you are no doubt very thankful that you do not have to mess with and participate in the nonsense that we are surrounded with. If you want to know more about true Christianity then please write for (or go on line for) our booklet, JESUS CHRIST, THE REAL STORY.
